DiNapoli Guest - Rich Pearce.

R.P. Pearce, Jr. is the founder/CEO of Pearce Financial Services, a futures and options brokerage firm formed in 1985. He started the company in his basement and has kept his original vision of providing quality brokerage services without the Chicago hype. Understanding what traders need and want has created an exclusive group of clients that have been with the firm for a long time. The dynamics and volatility of the industry make it one of the toughest to master, but according to Rich, "After thirteen years of every kind of market, we have finally created some stability out of in-stability." He is editor/publisher of two subscription-based newsletters, The Pearce Report, an economic, political and social commentary newsletter and In The Markets, a monthly Fibonacci-based trading letter. "Joe DiNapoli has been very instrumental in the trading methods used at our firm", says Rich, "all brokers over the years have been required to know it."

Pearce Financial is currently heavily involved in the development of an Internet order entry & trading platform for the firm as well as a customer terminal version. The problem with Internet order entry is instability. Any platform is only as stable as the weakest link and so far, not even the exchanges qualify.

Rich has also formed PearceCom, a telecommunications consulting company that resells long distance services such as Sprint, Worldcom and Frontier, to business and commercial customers.

He has been active on several political campaigns serving on the finance committees for both a presidential as well as past gubernatorial campaigns in Florida. He is currently an advisory member for First American Bank, as well as serving on the board of directors of a pharmaceutical company. Rich performs fee consulting work in mid-sized company's, schedule permitting and through his networking contacts has been instrumental in the sale of two corporations last year.

Rich resides in Destin, Florida with his wife and their two sons, Jason and Eric. Rich and Christy also serve on the executive steering committee of the CI-Business Network and have been speakers at local and regional conferences.
